A$AP Rocky's relationship with Bottega Veneta runs deep. The Harlem rapper jogged through Beverly Hills in one of the Italian house's printed leather sweatsuits for a paparazzi-shot ad. Last month, he and his young sons starred in the label's adorable Father's Day campaign. And just this past weekend, he was spotted in New York City in head-to-toe Bottega looking like the best-dressed dude in the next cubicle.
Taking a break from his usual leather jackets and chunky sneakers, Rocky's latest fit is a touch more preppy. Up top, he wore a cotton striped shirt from the Italian house's latest collection and a lambskin tie that's been specifically designed to not look like lambskin at all.
Creative director Matthieu Blazy has been experimenting with materials in this kinda way since his Spring/Summer 2023 collection when he made jeans out of leather—and Blazy-era Bottega is one of the few brands out there that's making menswear actually fun again without going too mad. Just look at Joe Alwyn's insanely sick bag, Pedro Pascal's freaky rollneck, and Timothée Chalamet's fishscale wool jumper.
Nearly everything else Rocky wore was from the brand, too. He jumped into some light wash denim jeans with a straight cut and the $1,250 Strut lace-up shoes. And those tortoiseshell shades? Well, they're actually the Mega Clubmaster from Ray-Ban, but they still work.
Even if you don't have a Bottega-sized budget, Rocky's jeans-and-a-tie look is a great one to copy at the office—we'd maybe just recommend tucking your shirt in.
“Now it’s my time,” the rapper-designer told GQ of his AWGE runway collection American Sabotage.
